Katy Perry has officially announced her upcoming sixth studio album titled "143," set to be released on September 20, 2024. The announcement was made on July 10, 2024, through her social media channels, where she also unveiled the album’s cover art. The cover features Perry nearly nude, levitating in the center of a blue and red cosmos, visually aligning with the album's themes of love and transformation.

The album title, "143," is a numerical code for "I love you," a phrase that dates back to the early 1900s. Perry explained that she aimed to create a "bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a throughline message." The album promises to be a "sexy, fearless, return to form" packed with empowering, sexy, and provocative pop anthems.

Katy Perry's upcoming album "143" can be pre-ordered in various formats through her official store. The exclusive vinyl edition, priced at $40, features a limited edition gatefold with sparkle embossing, a purple vinyl, and a bonus track, with a purchase limit of four per customer within the US. There is also a signed standard vinyl available for $33, which includes a limited number signed by Katy, a gatefold vinyl, and a silver vinyl, also limited to four per customer in the US. In true 1990s fashion, fans can purchase a cassette version for $20, which comes with standard cover art and a transparent orange cassette shell. Additionally, a standard CD version is available for $14.
