oah Kahan's Stick Season, released on October 14, 2022, has earned remarkable recognition with seven RIAA certifications on July 1. After originally achieving Platinum status on January 30, 2024, the album has now been certified 2x Platinum, indicating over 2 million copies sold.

Kahan’s journey with Stick Season reflects his exploration of transitional periods, mental health, and nostalgia. Describing the album's theme, Kahan noted that "stick season" represents the time between peak foliage and the first snow—a metaphor for life's transitions and the emotional turmoil they create. This sentiment is echoed throughout the album's tracks, which address his experiences with therapy, mental health struggles, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on daily life.

Several singles from the album have also received significant recognition:

  • "All My Love" is now certified Platinum.
  • "Northern Attitude" (featuring Hozier) has achieved Platinum status.
  • "She Calls Me Back" (featuring Kacey Musgraves) has reached Platinum.
  • Additional tracks such as "Orange Juice," "Everywhere, Everything," "Call Your Mom," "The View Between Villages," "Growing Sideways," and "New Perspective" have all earned Gold certifications.
  • Additionally, "Stick Season" (single) has been upgraded to 4x Platinum, while "Dial Drunk" (featuring Post Malone) is now 2x Platinum.

Beyond these certifications, Stick Season has earned critical acclaim and commercial success. It topped various charts globally, securing number one spots in several countries, and earning Platinum certifications in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. The album's success was further bolstered by its reissues, including Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever) and Stick Season (Forever), which continued to draw in new listeners.

Kahan's rise in the music industry has been marked by notable achievements: Stick Season was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Although he did not win, Kahan expressed gratitude for the recognition and support from fans and peers, highlighting the privilege of being part of such a prestigious event.

Noah Kahan's music career began to gain traction with his 2017 single "Hurt Somebody," which achieved Gold status in the U.S. His subsequent albums, Busyhead and I Was / I Am, laid the foundation for his breakout with Stick Season. His ability to blend folk sensibilities with contemporary pop has resonated with a broad audience, earning him a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim
