Billie Eilish's third studio album continues to break records, celebrated by fans and critics alike for its bold sound and emotional intensity.

Billie Eilish’s third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, has officially been certified Platinum by the RIAA as of September 4, 2024, a major milestone in its ongoing success. Released on May 17, 2024, through Darkroom/Interscope, the album marked Eilish’s return to the music scene after her 2021 album Happier Than Ever.

Commercially, Hit Me Hard and Soft debuted at No. 1 in the UK, achieving the biggest opening week of her career with 67,100 chart units sold in the UK alone, surpassing her previous records. In the U.S., the album also performed impressively, securing top spots on various charts and accumulating over 72.7 million streams on Spotify on its release day​.

Critically, the album was met with widespread acclaim, holding an impressive 89/100 on Metacritic. Reviewers praised its innovative production and Eilish’s ability to blend softness and intensity both lyrically and sonically. Tracks like "Lunch" and "Birds of a Feather" stood out, receiving significant radio play and charting well globally.
