The Kid Laroi achieves major milestones with "Stay" hitting Diamond, "Go" reaching 2x Platinum, and THE FIRST TIME certified Gold.

September 2024 has proven to be a monumental month for The Kid Laroi, as the young artist continues to reach new heights in his music career. On September 10, his collaboration with the late Juice WRLD, "Go," was officially upgraded to 2x Platinum, a significant achievement for a song that remains close to Laroi’s heart. Released in 2020, "Go" was a heartfelt tribute to his mentor Juice WRLD, who passed away tragically in December 2019. The track resonated with fans, peaking at No. 52 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has since accumulated over 170 million views on YouTube. The song’s success and enduring popularity have solidified its place as a key moment in Laroi’s career, marking his early rise alongside one of hip-hop’s most beloved figures.

Just a day after celebrating the upgrade for "Go," Laroi hit an even bigger milestone with his smash hit collaboration with Justin Bieber, "Stay." The track, originally released in July 2021, was certified Diamond on September 11, an incredible accomplishment for a song that has dominated charts and playlists for over three years. "Stay" spent seven non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming one of the defining songs of 2021. It has since amassed over 2.6 billion streams on Spotify, making it one of the platform’s most-played tracks, while its music video has racked up more than 850 million views on YouTube. The infectious pop-rap anthem, with its unforgettable hook and Laroi’s emotionally charged delivery, has not only propelled him into mainstream success but also reinforced his ability to create hits that resonate on a global scale.

The Kid Laroi’s success this month doesn’t stop there. His debut album, THE FIRST TIME, which was released on November 10, 2023, was officially certified Gold in September 2024. The album marks a significant milestone for Laroi, showcasing his growth as an artist and his ability to blend introspective lyricism with accessible pop-rap sensibilities. While THE FIRST TIME didn’t produce a viral single on the level of "Stay," it has seen steady streaming success and critical praise, with tracks like "Where Do We Go" and "Too Close" highlighting Laroi’s versatility and emotional depth. The album delves into themes of love, loss, and the complexities of fame, giving fans a deeper look into the mind of one of the music industry’s most exciting young voices.
