A homecoming for Ye, offering fans a unique opportunity to experience the album in a high-fidelity audio and visual showcase alongside the artists and collaborators.
At Chicago's United Center, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign hosted a special listening experience for their highly anticipated joint album, "Vultures, Volume 1," just before its official release. Mirroring the immersive experience of Ye's previous "DONDA" album listening events, this occasion provided fans with a unique opportunity to experience the album's audio and visual elements live alongside the artists, collaborators, and special guests. The event was also livestreamed on Veeps, allowing a global audience to partake in the experience.
Ye, donning a hockey mask reminiscent of Jason Voorhees, and Ty Dolla $ign performed several tracks from the album, including "In the Stars" and "Paid." Notably, North West joined them on stage for her feature on "Talking / Once Again," followed by "Everybody," which features Charlie Wilson and samples the Backstreet Boys. The event also showcased "Back To Me" with Freddie Gibbs and Quavo, "Hoodrat," and "Do It" with YG making a guest appearance. Although Quavo was absent for "Paperwork," the duo previewed "Burn" from the upcoming "Vultures, Volume 2."
The listening experience included the Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, and Quavo-assisted "Fuk Sumn" without the featured artists present, though Bump J joined for the title track. Freddie Gibbs, who was absent during "Back To Me," appeared on stage later. Additionally, a preview of the tentatively titled "Carnival" with Rich The Kid, featuring a sample from Black Sabbath's "Iron Man," and a track sampling Donna Summers' "I Feel Love" were highlights, indicating what to expect from "Volume 2." Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for live updates and the official release of "Vultures, Volume 1."
