Sofia Reyes, born Úrsula Sofía Reyes Piñeyro, is a Mexican singer-songwriter who gained international recognition with her hit songs “1,2,3” and “R.I.P.”. Born on September 25, 1995, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, she began her musical journey at the age of ten, playing piano and singing. By the age of twelve, she was uploading cover songs on YouTube, which caught the attention of Latin American singer Prince Royce. This led to her being the first artist signed to his newly created music label D’León Records, which was created in partnership with Warner Music Latina.
Her debut single “Now Forever”, featuring American rapper Khleo Thomas, was released in 2013. However, it was her 2018 song “1,2,3”, featuring Jason Derulo and De La Ghetto, that catapulted her to fame. In 2019, she released the song “R.I.P.” with Brazilian singer Anitta and British singer Rita Ora, further solidifying her place in the international music scene.
On October 12, 2023, Sofia released a single called “Cobarde” as part of her upcoming studio album, MILAMORES. The album is expected to drop on November 2, adding another milestone to her already impressive career. Sofia Reyes continues to make waves in the music industry with her unique sound and undeniable talent.
