Acclaimed pop artist JORDY today released his new single “CAN U HOST?” and announced his bold, provocative third album SEX WITH MYSELF, out Friday, June 14. On the track, JORDY’s slick, magnetic delivery echoes over a danceable beat, punctuated by neon synths and a pulsating groove. It culminates in an invitation as he wonders, “Is there somewhere we can go?” Click HERE to listen.

“This song turned into a complete dancefloor pop banger,” JORDY commented. “The lyrics are really cheeky, on-the-nose and funny, and I loved the idea of bringing a sexy dance appeal to the chorus.”

SEX WITH MYSELF marks an exciting new era for JORDY, who truly holds nothing back on the forthcoming project. The award-nominated pop singer/songwriter - who’s garnered praise for high-impact, inclusive, and authentically honest music - exhibits a newfound personal and creative freedom. The LP discusses hookups, heartbreak, pleasure, sex, and love without apology - and of course - being in touch with and understanding your body. The record is bound to draw listeners to the center of the dancefloor, where the lights are the brightest and inhibitions are the lightest. Not to mention, it’s arriving in time for Pride Month. “I’m almost 30, and of course, I have written about sex before, but never in this uninhibited way. I wanted to use this as a moment to say, ‘I’m a grown up now and this is my experience,’” JORDY added. He elaborated, “BOY [2023] was the last chapter of everything I needed to say at that point. It was important for me to close that door and use this time to come into my adulthood more, and as an independent artist. I'm at a place where I’ve healed a lot, and I’m confident enough to explore parts of my adulthood that I wasn’t comfortable exploring before.”

JORDY initially teased this next chapter with “SECOND MINUTE HOUR” in February, reacting to the tune of 1.8 million Spotify streams right out of the gate. The sex-positive anthem was hailed by Pride.com as a “sexy rebirth.” Next, he turned up the heat on the Y2K-infused single “NICE THINGS,” which Billboard praised as one of the “Queer Jams of the Week.Across the song, slick guitar wraps around steady handclaps as JORDY schools an overly flossy and flashy would-be-suitor, “You got nice things, they don’t faze me. I set the bar high, can you blame me?

In support of SEX WITH MYSELF and in celebration of Pride Month, JORDY will be performing at Dallas Pride on Saturday, June 1 (tickets HERE) and headlining a Times Square Live concert on Friday, June 7 for the “Live Music on Summer Fridays” series (more info HERE). In the fall, JORDY will also play Austin City Limits Music Festival (weekend 2 - Oct 11-13), alongside Dua Lipa, Chappell Roan, Reneé Rapp, among others.

About:

JORDY arrived as a pop disruptor with the 2018 breakout “Just Friends,” gathering tens of millions of streams in the process. He continued to progress from Mind Games [2021] to the critically acclaimed BOY [2023]. Huffington Post hailed the latter as “an introspective listen that doesn’t skimp on sonic joy, and Rolling Stone applauded its lead single “Story of a Boy” as “a welcome twist with lyrics that speak to JORDY’s all-too-relatable experience as a queer person coming of age. Meanwhile, JORDY not only shined on stage at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Firefly, OUTLOUD at WeHo Pride, and Bottle Rock, but he also ignited television on NBC’s TODAY and The Kelly Clarkson Show. And during his ascent, his diaristic, authentic voice earned him nominations at the GLAAD Media Awards (Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist), the iHeartRadio Music Awards (Social Star), and the Queerty Awards (Favorite Music Video [i get high] + Best Anthem [Story of a Boy]).
