Whispering Indian summer throughout, ‘Brick Houses’ is brilliantly produced dream pop and blissful indie, graced with the heavenly voice of frontwoman Karolien Van Ransbeeck. Think Still Corners and a touch of Mazzy Star and Fleetwood Mac (‘You Make Loving Fun’!). Be sure to check out Finnish visual artist Laura Matikainen's beautiful animation video as well.
Their previous records garnered praise from critics, fans, and fellow artists alike. None other than The War On Drugs invited Few Bits to support them twice during both ‘Lost In The Dream’ and ‘A Deeper Understanding’ tours in 2014 and 2017. Their growing recognition led to performances at prestigious events such as SXSW in Austin, Texas, and Canadian Music Week in Toronto.
After the birth of her daughter in 2019, Karolien went on a musical hiatus until she started to feel the itch again in 2022, prompting her to bring the band back together. The album features colourful reflections on both present and past, where imagination and desire intersect.
