Rising pop artist Laura Pieri returns today with "Sea of Tragedy (On The Dancefloor)," a dance-driven reimagining of the emotionally raw fan favorite from her 2024 Frankie EP. The track arrives hot on the heels of her recent release, "Flown Away," and will appear on Frankie On The Dancefloor, the forthcoming expanded edition of Frankie, set for release this summer.

Produced by Skyler Cocco and YXSH, this remix leans into Pieri’s love of pulsing rhythms, shimmering synths, and cathartic pop hooks—transforming melancholy into movement.

"'Sea of Tragedy’ is one of those songs that started in total heartbreak and disillusion,” Pieri shares. “But on this version, she’s got glitter on her cheeks. She may still be crying, but she’s crying in the club now—and that’s kind of the magic of pop music to me.”

“Sea of Tragedy (On The Dancefloor)” captures the emotional whiplash of post-breakup nights out. Pieri adds, “If Flown Away was the montage of a breakup, this one’s the chaotic night out right after. It’s sad, sparkly, and kind of unhinged, but in the best way. Basically? She’s tragedy… but make it hot.
