"Slaying of the Witch" is the second single from SAGEN’s upcoming album, Whalefall. The song tells the story of Guruntu, who has long tested humanity with the gift of power from the Tusk. Her secretive research attracts the attention of Vice-Oderant Silric, who believes her knowledge holds the key to the future of their people, the Ithradi.
In this final confrontation, Silric demands answers, and their clash of ideals—between secrecy and revelation—sets the stage for a defining moment. The track explores themes of power, control, and the consequences of hidden truths, with the lyric “Intertwining fates; future and past” capturing the gravity of their decisions.
