United Kingdom’s ZOĒ has had a busy year thus far. The British singer-songwriter kicked off the year with the singles, “Tunnel Vision” and “Healing Myself.” The singles had profound, resonating lyricism over Drum and Bass instrumentals. ZOĒ is now back with a new song, “Time To Be Free.” Although the track does carry some Drum and Bass elements, “Time To Be Free” is more akin to an Indie Pop record; thus, showcasing the versatility and immense talent that ZOĒ possesses.
The theme of “Time To Be Free” can be gleaned from the title. The song is meant to inspire listeners to be free in all facets of life. The inspirational, motivational piece urges self-love. “‘Time To Be Free’ is about accepting what I can't change for inner peace and freeing myself from my own limitations,” ZOĒ states.
The lovely record was produced by renowned producer Jack Gourlay. Jack Gourlay also co-wrote “Time To Be Free” alongside ZOĒ. The beautiful, eclectic instrumental pairs perfectly with ZOĒ’s dulcet, soothing vocals. The rising star will be releasing and performing acoustic versions of “Time To Be Free” in the very near future.
